Message from the CEO

Dear Friends,

Spring is typically a busy time for EKS&H, and this year is no different. Our tax professionals have been working hard to meet filing deadlines, and our consultants are assisting with major business analytics projects, transactions and outsourced accounting projects. Auditors are diligently preparing financials, beginning review of employee benefit plans and conducting interim fieldwork.

We thank our clients during this busy time for their patience and trust in our service commitment.

Beyond busy season, I wanted to share a few recent firm highlights with you.

  • Largest Denver-area Accounting Firm and Best of Colorado. In February we were honored to be ranked again by the Denver Business Journal as the largest Denver-based accounting firm. We are also grateful to be named the “Best of Colorado – Accounting Firms” by ColoradoBiz magazine for 2015. Although the services we provide and the location of our clients have expanded dramatically, we are proud to maintain these local distinctions.
  • 43rd Largest U.S. Accounting Firm and Largest in the Rocky Mountain Region. In March, we were recognized by Accounting Today as the 43rd largest accounting firm in the United States (up from 46th in 2014) and the largest in the five-state mountain region. This year we were also included in the publication’s “Pacesetters in Growth” list in recognition of our 15 percent year-over-year growth rate.
  • 1,000+ Affiliate Offices Worldwide. In support of our growing International Advisory Group, we continue to build partnerships with specific firms, associations and networks around the world. For the first time, these service provider relationships now encompass more than 1,000 offices and more than 35,000 professionals around the world.
  • United Way – Tocqueville Society Inspiration Award. Perhaps the recent recognition we are most proud of receiving as an organization, in March the Mile High United Way notified EKS&H that we would be awarded the Tocqueville Society Inspiration Award. This award recognizes a company whose leadership team shows an incredible commitment to the community through its fundraising campaign and volunteerism and encourages employees to give and be involved in the community.

In the Awards and Advancements article of this newsletter, you’ll find additional information about some impressive individual achievements and news about new EKS&H team additions. As always, I encourage you to reach out to us to discuss how we might better serve you as your true trusted business advisor.
