Several employees have been promoted to senior manager, and many individuals have received industry recognition and obtained significant technical certifications. With involvement in multiple reputable organizations and associations, EKS&H is in a great position to best serve our clients.

Team Additions

David TaylorDavid Taylor, Consulting Senior Manager

David joins EKS&H with more than 21 years of experience in software, consulting and financial services, including time with IBM and Andersen Consulting. He specializes in business analytics, including budgeting, planning and data solutions, helping our clients make better decisions with their data.

Recognition

Scott Gunter HeadshotScott Gunter, Audit Senior Manager

Scott earned his Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) designation and became a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). This certification requires a broad range of business and financial skills needed to succeed in today’s health care environment. HFMA is the nation’s premier membership organization for health care finance leaders and has more than 40,000 members. Only 10 percent of its members hold the (CHFP) designation.

John Irving

John Irving, Marketing Manager

John has earned his UX certification from the Nielsen Norman Group’s (NN/g) certification program, one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to usability and user experience. This program requires professionals to spend a minimum of 30 hours in intensive training and   pass five exams with an 80 percent or above. In gaining this certification, John has demonstrated his commitment to enhancing the satisfaction of our clients by improving the usability, accessibility and visual appeal provided in the interaction between our clients and our products.

Judy CainJudy Cain, Tax Partner

With more than 25 years of experience, Judy Cain is recognized as a key influencer in Denver’s energy sector and has been named a Top Woman in Colorado Energy again in 2015. Forty women were selected for this designation based on their expertise, leadership, and personal commitment to their communities. Judy volunteers her time each year to classroom education and hopes to be an inspiration to young female professionals in the industry.

Kari has been promoted to treasurer of the executive committee of the World Trade Center Denver. The World Trade Center Denver is a leading international business organization and is licensed by the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). It has facilitated international trade by educating businesses on how to benefit from globalization and connecting them to a vast network of 330 World Trade Centers in 100 countries.

Vonnie HergettVonnie Hergett, Tax Partner

Vonnie was elected to the board of trustees of Savio House, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Savio House is a child and family treatment center that provides specialized support and intervention services. Since 1966, Savio House has served Colorado’s Front Range, promoting child safety and effective parenting and helping to create stable family environments.

Nate has become the Denver Chapter Membership Co-Chair of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Founded in 1959, NCMA is the world’s leading resource dedicated to the professional growth and educational advancement of those in the field of contract management. With more than 22,000 members, NCMA allows Nate to tap into a large network of government and business contractors.

Dan and Nate have joined the board of directors for Great Education Colorado, an organization dedicated to increasing the accessibility to quality education to all children, regardless of their backgrounds, where they live, or how they learn. Underfunded public education has lasting negative effects on students’ educational experiences, economic opportunities, and civic and community engagement. Through grassroots involvement and investment in Colorado’s public schools, colleges, and universities, Great Education Colorado is working to provide educational excellence for all students.

Bob has joined the University of Denver (DU) Business Analytics Advisory Board. The DU business analytics program aligns curriculum with current industry needs and combines industry knowledge and expertise to create business intelligence experts. Data is changing the way business is done, and professionals who know how to anticipate future trends and gather, analyze and leverage data will be the leaders of the future.
