Team Additions

Dan Domagala HeadshotDan Domagala, Consulting Senior Manager

With more than 25 years of experience as a CIO, IT director, business intelligence manager, and data warehouse architect, Dan joins EKS&H as a senior manager in the technology consulting service area. He offers extensive expertise working in industries including education, hospitality, and oil and gas and across the organizational spectrum, including governmental entities, multinational conglomerates, and entrepreneurial startups, with a common theme of data integration and business analytics. His focus is on strategic business improvement – utilizing technology to maximize desired outcomes through the efficient, effective, and pragmatic use of information.

Doug was elected to the board and given the role of treasurer with the Denver Petroleum Club. He has extensive experience in natural resources (mining and oil and gas) and accounting issues and regulations, including purchase price allocations, ARO, derivatives, and compensation issues.

EKS&H was awarded the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Association of the Year Award. The award is given to an organization in recognition for outstanding service and dedication to merit shop construction. Liz was also nominated for the organization’s Young Professional of the Year Award.

Gaylen Hansen, CPA, Audit Partner and Director of Quality Assurance, and Craig Choun, CPA, Tax Partner

Gaylen Hansen Headshot 2012 Craig Choun Headshot 2012Gaylen and Craig were recently honored by the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, at its annual CPAs Make a Difference Celebration. Gaylen was granted the COCPA Distinguished Service Award for his significant and lasting contributions to the CPA profession, which include chairmanship of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). Craig was named an Everyday Hero for making an impact in his community and in others’ lives. His accomplishments include leading EKS&H’s nonprofit tax group, which has positively impacted the success and growth of many Colorado organizations. He and his team stepped up to educate many organizations regarding the new enhancements, responsibilities, and requirements of the complex Form 990 update in 2008. He also provides volunteer leadership for several charitable organizations.

Business Analytics (BA) Team

EKS&H has been awarded the IBM Cognos TM1 – Gold Practice Accreditation. Along with the Business Intelligence (BI) accreditation the firm achieved several months ago, EKS&H is only the second business partner firm in North America to achieve gold-level certification on both TM1 and Cognos BI tools.
