EKS&H Achieves Record United Way Employee Participation

At the conclusion of the 2014-2015 EKS&H United Way Campaign, the firm recorded impressive and record-setting results.

Almost 95% of employees helped raise more than $330,000 for the Mile High, Larimer and Foothills United Ways. In addition, the firm matched $30,000 of these contributions, which is a 122% increase over the firm match in 2013-2014.

The EKS&H employee participation rate far exceeds that of the other public accounting firms in Colorado and is the highest in our more than 20 years of involvement.

“EKS&H walks the walk,” said Taylor Vitale, Mile High United Way major gifts manager. “When you truly look at the organization, you find that there is a lot of passion, grass-roots efforts, and firm commitment to the community.”

Although employees donated to a wide variety of causes and organizations through the campaign, United Way’s Child Care Contribution Fund received a significant portion of the funds. Mile High United Way supports 114 nonprofits in its community work, which includes 32 organizations directly focused on improving early childhood education in the Denver Metro area. Donations also support Mile High United Way’s direct service programs, which include Bridging the Gap, 2-1-1, Social Innovation Fund, the Individual Development Accounts Program, Centers for Family Opportunity, Colorado Reading Corps, and Power Lunch (previously featured in EKS&H’s Leading Edge newsletter).

EKS&H’s support of these United Way programs is a concrete example of the firm’s commitment to the communities in which employees and clients live and work. The people at EKS&H are proud to support the United Way.
